What is a CarFax Report?
What is a CarFax Report - and Why You Should Read It
A CarFax Canada report is a great tool for used car vehicle shoppers to get a view into a used car's history! Carfax Canada was founded to increase transparency in the used car industry, and is trusted by all of the major vehicle manufacturers, dealerships, auto groups, and more.
A CarFax report provides the following:
- Prior accidents/damage and their assessed values
- Registration country of vehicle
- Stolen status
- US history
- Recall information
- Service history (where they service, and what they serviced)
- Vehicle import history
CarFax Badges, and What They Mean
This badge highlights vehicles registered in Canada that are part of the manufacturer's Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program, as well as CARFAX's other conditions.
No Reported Accidents
This badge indicates that none of CARFAX's data providers have reported any accident or damage records on the car, including police reports, insurance claims, and body shop records.
This badge makes vehicles with only one previous owner easy to find. Please note that CARFAX Canada uses information from a variety of sources to identify One Owner vehicles, but in some cases, they cannot make that determination.
This badge is available for vehicles registered in Canada that have accumulated annual mileage less than 18,000 kilometres per year.
